Programs
Get Fit Twin Cities is a GREAT program for any group of 2-10 people-family members, friends, co-workers, church groups and more-who want to motivate and support each other in adopting and maintaining healthy habits. And, it's adaptable. Teams can register for the program and track their progress online or through the mail. Registration is open until March 1.
How does it work:
Participants form teams of 2-10 people. A captain registers the team online or through the mail. Once registered, team members track their daily minutes of physical activity. Online participants will report their minutes on the Get Fit website each week. Mail-in participants will report monthly using a Get Fit Tracker, which will be mailed to their house.
There are two types of teams in Get Fit Twin Cities:
1. Single teams
This team type is perfect for a group of friends, neighbors and family members and even co-workers. This team type is for people who do not wish to link their team to a larger entity (see below).
2. Group teams
A worksite, church or other organization may wish to register multiple teams. In this case, Get Fit Twin Cities will provide the entity (worksite, church, etc.) with its own GROUP CODE. By registering their team with the organization's GROUP CODE, individual captains will link his/her team to others in the organization. An organization "administrator" will be able to view and track the progress of all teams registered with the GROUP CODE.
For example, Bob's Plumbing may wish to register and track 5 teams. This worksite would be issued a GROUP CODE that individual captains would use to register their team under Bob's Plumbing. As the worksite administrator, Bob can see the names and rankings of all the teams registered under his GROUP CODE and team members will be able to view their ranking amonst the other Bob's Plumbing teams.
